Oral tetracycline or isotretinoin may be tried during the early edematous stage, when hyperplasia of the sebaceous glands is evident
Surgical
Irreversible fibrotic changes require dermatosurgical procedures such as cryosurgery, dermashaving and electrosurgery.
Laser
CO2-Laser is used to shave off and vaporize fibrotic changes.
